Credit cards are a secure payment method that give cardholders access to a line of credit they can borrow from and pay back over time. When used responsibly, they’re a great credit-building tool that can help establish credit, build a positive credit history and help you save money down the road if you need a loan for something like a car or home.
The best credit cards are particularly worth it because they provide long-term value with rewards and perks that aren’t found with other payment methods.

Pros

  • It has no annual fee and a high rewards rate for everyday spending categories, making it the most competitive choice out of the Wells Fargo credit card lineup.
  • It offers an appealing welcome offer that boosts your reward earnings even more in the first few months after account opening.

Cons

  • It has a brief intro APR period and a high APR, with the lowest end just marginally lower than the average credit card interest rate.

  • It excludes grocery stores from its reward structure, which is a disappointment given that it is one of the most popular spending categories.

Bottom Line

If you want a card that earns points on everyday shopping and travel, this card might be useful; however, if you want to earn grocery rewards or have flexible travel redemption options, this card falls short.

Highlights

  • Select “Apply Now” to take advantage of this specific offer and learn more about product features, terms and conditions.
  • Limited time offer: Earn 30,000 bonus points when you spend $1,500 in purchases in the first 3 months – that’s a $300 cash redemption value.
  • Earn unlimited 3X points on the things that really add up – like restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services, and phone plans. Plus, earn 1X points on other purchases.
  • $0 annual fee.
  • 0% intro APR for 12 months from account opening on purchases. 20.24%, 25.24%, or 29.99% variable APR thereafter.
  • Up to $600 of cell phone protection against damage or theft. Subject to a $25 deductible.
